NounThe process of growing multiple cannabis plants from seed and selecting the most desirable phenotype—the plant that expresses the best combination of traits like flavor, potency, yield, growth structure, and resilience. Each seed from a cannabis variety has a unique combination of genetics, meaning individual plants can exhibit varying traits, even if they come from the same batch of seeds. A pheno hunt allows breeders or growers to find the ideal plant to keep for further cultivation or breeding.
