The largest and most prominent type of glandular trichome found on cannabis plants, primarily responsible for producing and storing cannabinoids and terpenes. These trichomes are easily visible to the naked eye and resemble tiny mushrooms or lollipops, with a bulbous resin gland (the head) sitting atop a stalk. They are especially abundant on the flowers and sugar leaves of mature cannabis plants, where they contribute to the plant’s potency, aroma, and overall resin production.
