Slang used to refer to the month of October for many outdoor cultivators and others involved in that supply chain. This is the prime harvest season for outdoor-grown cannabis plants in many regions. Cannabis plants, particularly those grown outdoors, are typically ready to be harvested in the fall after months of growth during the spring and summer. Many growers plan their harvests around October, hence the name Croptober.
