A colloquial shortening for hermaphrodite. A cannabis plant that develops both male and female reproductive organs. This mutation can occur due to genetic predisposition or environmental stress, such as extreme temperatures, light cycle disruptions, or physical damage. Hermaphroditic plants can produce pollen sacs (male flowers) and bracts (female flowers) simultaneously, allowing them to self-pollinate, which can lead to the production of seeds in the buds, reducing the quality and potency of the harvest.
