The small, trichome-covered leaves that grow close to the flowers. These leaves are called “sugar leaves” because their surfaces are often densely coated with sparkling trichomes that look like sugar crystals. They contain cannabinoids and terpenes, though typically in lower concentrations than the flowers themselves. After harvest, sugar leaves are often trimmed away from the flowers but are often still used for making concentrates, edibles, or pre-rolls.
