A type of ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength range of 280-315 nanometers, which falls between UVA and UVC on the UV spectrum. In cannabis cultivation, UVB light is sometimes used to stimulate trichome production and potentially increase cannabinoid and terpene levels, as trichomes help protect the plant from harmful UV rays. While beneficial in small amounts, too much UVB exposure can damage plant tissues, so it’s used carefully and in controlled settings.
