The distance between two consecutive peaks (or troughs) of a wave and is a key measure in describing electromagnetic waves like light. In cannabis cultivation, wavelength is significant because different wavelengths of light (measured in nanometers, or nm) affect plant growth in various ways. For instance, wavelengths in the blue spectrum (400-500 nm) promote vegetative growth, while red and far-red wavelengths (600-800 nm) encourage flowering and stem elongation.
