In cannabis cultivation, fungicides are applied to combat harmful fungi, such as powdery mildew, botrytis (bud rot), and root rot, which can damage or destroy crops. Fungicides can be used as a preventative measure or to treat existing fungal outbreaks and are available in both synthetic and organic formulations.
