A chemical or biological agent used to prevent or eliminate fungal infections in plants. In cannabis cultivation, fungicides are applied to combat harmful fungi, such as powdery mildew, botrytis (bud rot), and root rot, which can damage or destroy crops. Fungicides can be used as a preventative measure or to treat existing fungal outbreaks and are available in both synthetic and organic formulations.
