Male Plant

Cannabis plants can be male or female which will affect their flowers. A male cannabis plant produces pollen and is responsible for pollinating female plants to produce seeds. Unlike female plants, which produce the bracts that are rich in cannabinoids and aromatic compounds, male plants focus on producing pollen sacs rather than brtacts. In cultivation, male plants are typically removed from a grow operation unless the goal is to breed and create seeds, as pollination can cause female plants to produce seedy buds, reducing the quality of the harvest.
