A minor cannabinoid formed through UV light exposure and oxidation, making it more common in improperly stored, or aged cannabis. Limited studies for most of its known history, but a 2024 found it was effective against SARS-CoV-2, and a 2025 study found it to have strong effects on the 5-HT1A serotonin receptors, similar to many antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications.
