Abbreviation for Cannabichromene. A non-psychoactive minor cannabinoid. Rather than binding strongly to CB1 or CB2 receptors, it works primarily through TRP channels to act on pain and inflammation signaling. Research suggests it may have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticonvulsant, and pain relief properties. It may also support neurogenesis and inhibit the breakdown of anandamide. A 2024 human study found it to amplify the pain relief effects of CBD better than any other minor cannabinoid tested.
