The resinous trichomes (tiny, crystal-like structures) that fall off the cannabis flower. These trichomes contain high concentrations of cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, as well as terpenes, which contribute to the plant’s flavor and aroma. Kief is typically collected as a powder and can be used to enhance the potency of joints, blunts, or bowls, or to create cannabis concentrates like hash. Most commonly refers to the leftover material underneath the fine mesh screen in grinders that have this feature.
