Non-psychoactive in its raw acid form, with research suggesting anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. It becomes THC through decarboxylation when exposed to heat through smoking, vaporizing, or baking. Often, most of what appears as THC percentage on a lab report is actually THCa, the standard calculation for how much THC will remain after conversion is THCa x 0.877. Abbreviated THCA.
