A cannabinoid acid found in the raw, unprocessed cannabis plant. CBCa does not have psychoactive effects, and like other cannabinoid acids, it acts as a plant defense compound with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It is the precursor to Cannabichromene (CBC), one of the minor cannabinoids in cannabis, converting through decarboxylation when exposed to heat. Abbreviated CBCA.
